“Summer slump” is a big concern for families everywhere as we emerge from an unprecedented school year and gear up for the fall. But new episodes from two acclaimed series, Camp TV and Let’s Learn, from The WNET Group will keep the fun and learning going for kids all summer long! The new episodes are airing on PBS stations from coast-to-coast (check local listings) as well as streaming online.
New episodes of Lets Learn, which first premiered during the height of the pandemic to help children ages 3-8 with at-home learning, are rolling out now! Each one-hour program is guided by educators and features a range of activities from storytime to hands-on science experiments, from uncovering math concepts to fun virtual field trips. And the launching episodes feature a very special guest – Sesame Street’s beloved character Super Grover! Content for Let’s Learn is provided by a range of notable sources, including Sesame Workshop, Bronx Children’s Museum, Third Street Music School Settlement, NY Public Library, Impossible Science, Green Bronx Machine, Education Through Music, and more.
Camp TV, for young viewers ages 5-10, just launched Season 2, featuring Zachary Noah Piser (Dear Evan Hansen, Wicked) as head counselor. Airing weekdays, the series helps kids learn through play as Piser guides campers through a variety of activities, exploring nature, math, science, the arts, movement, storytelling, writing, and more. And awesome activity guides are available on camptv.org so families can prepare ahead of each episode! Among the prestigious national content partners for the series are Carnegie Hall; Guggenheim Museum; Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum; Liberty Science Center; Lincoln Center; MoMA; Monterey Bay Aquarium; National Dance Institute; New Victory Theater; New York Philharmonic; and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, among many others.
