Have you ever heard of a Butt Lifter? I hadn't, until I had the opportunity to write this post. At first I thought that they were just a special type of shapewear, and it turns out I was most likely correct. Butt lifters are a type of shapewear that focuses just on creating the shape you want below the waist - to keep your buns from sagging. I was quite surprised to see how many different styles they were, but it makes sense - everyone has a different type of body and needs a different type of support, and everyone has a different desired end result. I've never tried them, but I'm sure that if you get them, you'd want to make sure they were comfortable so you could wear them for the length of whatever event you had. You'd also want to make sure you chose dark or light depending on the outfit you were wearing and perhaps your own skin tone.
Sportswear isn't immune from having shapewear. You can get leggings and other fitness gear that provides extra support and shaping, like butt lifting yoga leggings or control tops - tanks or tankini-style tops with shapewear built in. The point of this shapewear is to help you look extra toned during your workout - if you're sensitive about a certain area, or you might want to have the appearance of a certain body type, then this type of shapewear would be the thing to buy. How interested are you in shapewear during a workout? It definitely would have to be comfortable and allow for a lot of freedom of movement, unless you're planning on not actually working out in your particular gear and just want to have the appearance or style of workout wear.
Then there are waist trainers. You can even get waist trainer wholesale if you're a reseller. It looks like you can even get your logos printed on them, which I guess if you were a clothing retailer or a gym or fitness instructor, perhaps that's something you'd be interested in? There are a lot of styles here too, and some of them are brightly decorated and look like they're meant to be worn outside of an outfit, although you could most likely put something loose like a big t-shirt or hoodie on over it. Since they're called waist trainers it appears that the idea is that they would tone your waist or train it into being in a more tightened or compressed state. I've never tried these either, and I don't know that they'd be terribly comfortable, but I'm curious - if any of you have ever tried them, let me know what your experience was.
Your thoughts? I don't know that I'd ever wear them, but if they're your thing, then let me know how you like them!
