Consumer Critique: Pet Botanics Training Reward Freeze Dried Dog Treat - Beef Liver

I recently had a chance to review Pet Botanics Training Reward Freeze Dried Dog Treat - Beef Liver. My dog was definitely happy to help me review these!

Our dog is very food-motivated, so we like to use quality treats as part of her training throughout the day. It's important to us that we use quality treats, because we adjust her food amounts at mealtime based on the treats she gets during the day. She has a small frame for a Golden retriever, so we want to make sure she stays at a healthy weight.

These treats were definitely a hit. I don't think beef liver is all that appetizing, but she sure did!

I liked that these treats didn't have a lot of empty calories. They were also easy to break apart, so we didn't go through them too quickly. While there were some ingredients that I don't know if our dog really cared about, she liked the jerky flavor and format.

The treats contain no artificial flavors or colors, no corn or soy, and no BHA or BHT. They're high protein so they're full of the nutrition dogs need. The bag is a good size too - small enough that we can use it up before the jerky gets dry and weird (my kids aren't very good at remembering to seal the bag properly after they've gotten a treat out).

Right now they're on sale at PetSmart online, so it's a great time to try them out!
