Area Attractions: WonderWorks Destiny Fall Programs (NY)

WonderWorks Destiny is offering unique fall 2022 programs that align with their mission of sparking the imagination and inspiring the next generation of scientists, leaders, and creatives. The programs provide students and teachers opportunities to showcase their talents, learn new things and visit the attraction for free. They will also be offering educational field trips all season long.

“Our annual student art contest is already a favorite of both our guests and the WonderWorks team even though it’s a relatively new program,” says Jonathan Cascella, general manager of WonderWorks Destiny. “We can't wait to see what our local students have created!"

WonderWorks Destiny offers over 100 hands-on exhibits, activities, and experiences. All exhibits relate to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and provide guests of all ages hours of hands-on entertainment. WonderWorks and its exhibits have been designed to provide educational learning opportunities that are fun and engaging.

Here are several of the fall 2022 special programs being offered:

Youth Art Contest – Local youth artists are invited to enter the annual art contest for a chance to have their work displayed in the CNY-ART: New York Youth Art Gallery inside WonderWorks. The theme this year, "Brought to Light," will focus on what happens when ideas and theories get a chance to shine. Students or their teachers can submit the artwork online from now until December 14, 2022.

Homeschool Days – Local and visiting homeschool families are invited to join WonderWorks for its Homeschool Days event. This semi-annual program allows homeschool students and families a chance to enhance their curriculum by adding hands-on exploration at WonderWorks. Groups can enjoy a day out by taking advantage of the $12 discounted walk-ups rates, or groups can save even more when they pre-book with a group of 10 or more to receive a special $10 ticket.

Educational Field Trips – WonderWorks is the perfect place for an educational field trip this fall. Field trip opportunities are available for public school groups, homeschool groups, sports teams, after-school programs, and private schools. WonderWorks combines education and fun with over 100 interactive activities. Students will learn something new, whether they realize it or not, and leave with great memories. “We love teachers here at WonderWorks! Our annual Teacher Wonder Days allow us to thank our local educators while inspiring them to return with their class for an exciting field trip," adds Paige Perry, education sales coordinator at WonderWorks Destiny.

WonderWorks Syracuse offers these programs and more throughout the year for local students and families to enjoy. It also offers group rates, scouting programs, sensory days, homeschool days, and corporate events. WonderWorks Syracuse features an indoor, 70-foot-tall suspended ropes course, laser tag, a 4D XD motion theater, the Wonder Zones, and more.
