More than 218,000 American service members are buried or memorialized (remains missing) at 26 American military cemeteries and 32 monuments away from the homeland. ABMF is building a network of active-duty military, veterans, their families and those who appreciate their service to tell the stories of those who died in defense of freedom.
The American Battle Monuments Foundation, abmf.org, is the official non-profit partner of the American Battle Monuments Commission (abmc.gov.) ABMC is the US federal agency charged with maintenance and management of these hallowed sites.
Their purpose and focus are reflected in our motto: ABMF – We Remember and Honor: Then, Now, Forever.
