Consumer Critique: Dogswell Skin & Coat Jerky Dog Treat - Salmon

My dog loves trying out new treats, so we were happy to try out the Dogswell Skin & Coat Jerky Dog Treat - Salmon.

We generally don't give our dog jerky, so this was an extra special treat for her. She really loved it - happily taking each piece for us, and then "sneaking" away behind the couch to enjoy it. I liked that the treats had beneficial ingredients for her, with omega fatty acids from salmon and flaxseed oil.

For dogs that are sensitive to certain ingredients, they are gluten- and grain-free. They are also free from corn, soy, artificial flavors, artificial colors, molasses, cane syrup, and animal by-products. They're a high-protein treat that your dog will definitely love if they're anything like our dog.

Some of the jerky pieces we gave to her whole for an extra special treat, but most pieces we cut to use as training treats, because we don't want her to get too many treats at once. This is especially important because both of our girls do a training session with her each day, and my husband and I also give her treats periodically to reward certain behaviors. That also means that it's important that the treats we do give her are healthy so that they can be incorporated into her dietary needs, not add extra calories without any extra positive nutrition. Salmon is a very healthy ingredients, so we're happy to have treats that are based on salmon, with few other ingredients. We'd definitely consider getting these again!
