Motivated by the desire to elevate ordinary objects and familiar forms into unexpected delights, Erika investigates the relationships between object, scale, and user. Her aesthetic fuses sculptural forms with utilitarian functionality. She has a hands-on approach to design when she is working at the intersection of the product and process. The workshop becomes the source and site of her creative energy; Both library and laboratory using research, intuition, experience, and experiment. Erika purposefully challenges limitations to develop innovative methods and objects.

Aside from a full line of contemporary furniture, Erika Cross also creates wall art as well as tabletop objects that add a sense of modern flare to any home. From modular fluted wall tiles made from cork, to laser cut acryllic “squiggles”, to marble trays and catch-alls, Erika Cross’ love for playing with form, function and color and material are apparent in the products she designs and produces.
