Texas Country Music Association Award-winning singer-songwriter Trey Calloway is excited to release his latest single “I Miss Country Music” today. Encompassing his love for the traditional sounds of the 80s and 90s while incorporating a modern flair, Calloway highlights the lack of airplay for his heroes who paved the way. Written by Trey Calloway and Dalton Elliot and premiered by Center Stage Magazine, “I Miss Country Music” is the latest example of Calloway’s ability to blend nostalgic elements with contemporary styles. This track not only pays homage to the iconic country artists of past decades but also showcases Calloway's unique talent for reviving classic country vibes in today's music scene.

“I Miss Country Music” pays homage to the heartfelt storytelling of timeless country music that I grew up on,” smiles Calloway. “The song longs for simple lyrics that move listeners like Waylon, Jones, Haggard, and Hank did. I hope the song resonates with listeners of all generations with its modern take on the decades-old tradition that is country music.”
Calloway has consistently been paving the way for his album release on September 27 with singles released including “Wanted Man,” “You Don’t Need A Woman,” “Miss Gone By Morning,” “Neon Lies,” “Forgotten Man,” and “Horses In Heaven.”

About Trey Calloway:
North Carolina-grown and Nashville-based, Trey Calloway grew up singing in church and was a seasoned performer by the age of ten. Although southern and contemporary gospel were his first musical loves, Trey was instantly mesmerized by the sounds of country music after hearing Garth Brooks’ ‘Greatest Hits’ album and quickly developed a deep understanding and passion for the rocking, boot-stomping music of Garth , Clint Black, Alan Jackson, and Travis Tritt. Trey has opened shows for Joe Diffie, Tracy Lawrence, McBride & The Ride, Pat Green, Edwin McCain, Craig Campbell, and Trent Tomlinson and has played for audiences at the Charlotte Speed Street NASCAR Festival, the House of Blues, and The Tennessee State Fair Opry Stage. Since mid-2023, Calloway has won Songwriter of the Year at the Texas Country Music Awards, had a music video featured on CMT, been picked up by Spotify editorial playlists, and streamed nearly a million times on Spotify alone.
