Consumer Critique - Elseware Unplug Finger Paint

My kids have always loved art, and from an early age, once summer hit, creative activities were on the list of things to do in the summer before reaching for technology. Even though my kids are older, it's still fun to explore new art supplies - so I was excited to try out Elseware Unplug’s finger paints.

This All-Natural Finger Paint was so fun to use. They have vibrant colors (I was actually really surprised with just how bold the colors were), and they're safe for kids. The ingredients are food-safe and non-GMO, so although your kid shouldn't be eating paint, you don't have to worry about what happens if they accidentally ingest some. As dry pigment, they're easy to store without worrying about them drying out - simply mix what you need for a day of fun (extra paint can be stored in the fridge short-term). Because they're pigment, you can customize the feel - it's designed to be a 1:1 ratio, but you can also mix it thicker or thinner for different textures and applications (my own kid enjoyed making it a little thinner and then painting rocks.

Finger painting is a great early activity, because it doesn't require the manual dexterity of holding a paintbrush. It's also a very tactile activity that helps kids build motor skills, creativity, and experimentation.

And the fun doesn’t stop there. The paints are part of a larger summer collection of activity kits and hands-on products designed to help families unplug and connect through fun, screen-free play. Packed with earth-friendly tools, choose from Hopscotch Chalk and watercolor pencils to non-toxic beeswax crayons and a sand casting medium to preserve those summer memories.
