Music Minute - The Musicians

A charming, music-centered comedy set in a glorious villa in the  French countryside, THE MUSICIANS centers on Astrid, a wealthy woman played by Valérie Donzelli, who finally succeeds in fulfilling her father's dream of bringing together four Stradivarius instruments for a unique concert. As a devout music lover who eagerly awaits the performance she soon realizes that the egos of the four virtuosos recruited for the occasion makes them unable to find harmony together. When rehearsal after rehearsal leads to one crisis after another and no solution in sight, Astrid decides to seek out the only person who, in her eyes, can still save the event: the composer of the score, Charlie Beaumont, played by Frédéric Pierrot.

The film's musical quartet is comprised of classically trained musician/actors Daniel Garlitsky, Emma Ravier, Mathieu Spinosi, Marie Vialle who perform an original composition by César Awards nominated music composer Grégoire Hetzel. The film is directed by Gregory Magne, who made the romantic comedy drama Perfumes starring Emmanuelle Devos.
The Musicians premiered in France on May 7 and opened in the #1 spot at the Box Office.
