Pandemic-era workplace gains are eroding, and LiveCareer’s Fight for Flexibility report finds that workers feel their autonomy and ability to control how and where they work is increasingly fragile.
Key findings include:
● 93% of working mothers report being criticized for taking time off or leaving early for child-related needs
● 29% say fear of layoffs makes them hesitant to take earned PTO
● Two-thirds of workers say they would not give up remote or hybrid work for a 15% pay raise
● 77% of employees take on extra responsibilities weekly or daily, and 93% report burnout as a result.
Jasmine Escalera, career expert for LiveCareer, can speak to what the Fight for Flexibility report reveals about workers managing heavier responsibilities, stricter schedules, and uneven autonomy, plus how these conditions affect who can stay, advance, and avoid burnout.
