Book Nook - World Without Birds: How to Save Our Planet, One Bird at a Time

My older daughter really enjoys environmental causes, so I was happy to have a chance to review World Without Birds: How to Save Our Planet, One Bird at a Time.

Although my daughter is a little older than the target market for the book, she and I both enjoyed it! The book very clearly explains the issues affecting the avian population and why it matters. It's organized by type of ecosystem, which made sense and also would make the book a great asset to a homeschool or classroom library. The book shows what role birds play, and also uses a few specific examples of birds whose populations have changed over time.

It's a cautiously hopeful book - hopeful that people will realize the importance of birds and take action before it's too late. The book also contains practical things that bird-lovers - and anyone who cares for the environment - can do.
