As we know, there's no ignoring our tech devices, and for parents, it's a tough push and pull since kids see everything.
Americans in 40 major cities were recently surveyed about their experience of notification fatigue. We asked how often they’re interrupted, what notifications are most tiresome, and how they’re battling back against the onslaught of notifications. The data proves just how much parents have to balance while trying to be present with their families.
Call out data:
1 in 5 Americans say their habit of checking notifications immediately has impacted their relationships.
Nearly 2 in 5 Americans say their notifications have caused them to ignore someone who was talking to them in person.
66% of Americans are interrupted at least once an hour by notifications, and 1 in 3 are interrupted every 20 minutes.
More than two-fifths of Americans say they frequently receive notifications from group chats.
1 in 2 Americans receive more than 20 notifications on their phone each day.
