CPR is a potentially life-saving skill to have. But unfortunately many people aren't certified due to the cost of training. There are companies out there who feel so strongly about everyone having basic knowledge that they're willing to offer training for free. The Be a Shield campaign provides training in CPR (infant, child, and adult), choking, and heat exhaustion for free. I've been certified twice in CPR, but I still found this a good refresher and a solid comprehensive overview that is well worth the time it takes. If you never need to use it, wonderful - but if you do, then you won't be among the 70% of Americans who feel they aren't prepared to handle a life threatening situation such as choking or cardiac arrest.
If you're looking for something more - perhaps you're in a field that requires certification - they also offer online certification courses for CPR/AED, ACLS, and BLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Basic Life Support). The courses are affordable, and very convenient, including scenarios, test preparation, and immediate test results.
