Mealtime Magic: Bebe Gourmet

I recently had a chance to bring out my inner Francophile with Bébé Gourmet: 100 French-Inspired Baby Food Recipes For Raising an Adventurous Eater. As a mother of formerly picky kids (they're much better now) I was intrigued to see what was inside. I was actually thrilled with how much was in the book. It started with some tips for making eating a positive experience, and tools you'd need to make your own baby food. There was also a section with pantry staples to keep on hand, organized by food group, for easy meals that didn't come out of a jar.
The book is nicely organized by age, and includes attractive, clear pictures to make the recipes easier. This book also grows with your kids - there are a lot of foods and purees for infants under one, but then there are several different pasta dishes for toddlers, international-inspired cuisine, and healthy snacks for toddlers and beyond. At the end is a great Q&A on infant nutrition.
Even though my kids have outgrown the puree stage, I will definitely be making some of the "big-kid" recipes in the book. I recommend this for anyone who wants to make some or all of their baby's food.
