I recently got two fun DVDs from Anchor Bay Entertainment - Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! Best of Daizy and Cody the Robosapien. Both are cute and for very different audiences. Best of Daizy is definitely targeted toward the younger sent and has a little more feminine lean to it (it's all Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! episodes that feature Daizy, like "Who's That Girl," "Welcome To The Dollhouse," "Daizy's Hair Salon", "Daizy's Favorite Place," "Wonder Wubbzy" and "Daizy's
Purple Thumb" - with bonus episode, "Once Upon A Wubbzy." Cody the Robosapien is for a little bit older kids, and tells the story of a robot designed for destruction who is found by a boy who tries to teach him about life and family.
Both DVDs are family-friendly. My older daughter loved both. My younger daughter gets spooked by movies easily, so she didn't like the robot as much, even though it wasn't a really scary movie.
I have a chance to give a copy of each away to a US winner. To enter, leave a comment about what challenges you face finding family-friendly movies. Deadline is July 10th.
