Junior Achievement USA® (JA) and The Allstate Foundation released their 2013 Teens & Personal Finance survey revealing how financially ready teenagers feel for both paths. The results are kind of scary - and parents, this should be a wake-up call to you to have frank discussions with your kids about financial readiness. Especially since a quarter of teens think they won't be financially independent until they are 25-27! Although over half think students are borrowing too much to pay for college, less than 10% are actually saving. Almost a third haven't even talked with parents about paying for college. If you want to learn more, Full results of the survey can be found here.
