Website Spotlight: The Happy Channel

The Internet and social media are full of bad news, inappropriate content, and lots of other stuff parents don't want their kids to see. As parents we can try to block this negative content, it's nearly impossible to avoid all of it on social media.

Lisa Eve realized that the world was in need of a giant pick-me-up and a safe place to play online, and she wasn't satisfied with any of the options available. This inspired her to create The Happy Channel, the world's first social network that allows only positive messaging and encourages happiness on a daily basis. The Happy Channel's mission is to bring smiles and positivity back to people's lives in a simple, virtual way. While other social networks allow users to post about anything and everything, The Happy Channel provides an experience that promotes positivity, meaningfulness and happiness! All negative content is immediately removed, so users can rest easy knowing they'll only have a happy experience while logged into The Happy Channel.

It may seem simple or overly optimistic, but The Happy Channel fills a very real need for a safe place for parents and their kids to play online that makes us feel good and gives us all something to smile about.

Right now, they're offering a giveaway for a Samsung Galaxy Tablet. To enter, refer 3 friends to sign up at The Happy Channel and upload profile pictures. Then email Contact@TheHappyChannel.com with “ENTRY” in the subject line. In the email body, paste the links to your friend's profiles as well as a link to your own profile. The giveaway runs through August 30th.
