Consumer Critique: Baby Mantra

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

If you're a parent of a little one, you likely safeguard your baby against obvious dangers - baby gates and outlet covers, car seats, rules about not running out into streets, and so on. What's not so obvious, but is gaining more attention, is the danger posed by some of the synthetic chemicals found in many baby care products.

If you're concerned about those, there are a variety of natural brands out there. One is Baby Mantra, certified by the Natural Products Association and gluten-free, made in the USA, and free of chemicals and toxins. Available products include:
Newborn Shampoo & Body Wash: An ultra-hydrating, low foaming wash pairs moisturizing coconut oil with antioxidant-rich aloe in a convenient 2-in-1 preparation. Guaranteed splashes and smiles! 8oz/$12.95
3-in-1 Baby Bubble Bath, Shampoo & Body Wash: A multi-purpose formula offers the light scent of lavender and the intense moisturization of aloe vera to leave your little one relaxed, tangle-free and snuggly soft. 12oz/$15.95.
Calming Massage Oil: Vitamin E and avocado, jojoba, apricot kernel, and grapeseed oils form a lush moisture barrier that leaves skin soft all day and lulls your baby to sleep each night. 4oz/$14.50
Calming Lotion: Infused with Vitamin E and aloe, this non-greasy formula quickly absorbs into the skin sealing in moisture. Lavender oil provides a light, soothing scent. 2oz/$4.99; 6.3 oz/$13.95

I got to try the 3-in-1 bubble bath, shampoo, and body wash. It bubbled up well enough to please my girls (4 and 6) and rinsed cleanly. The lavender scent was nice, and not too strong. I also liked the addition of aloe, especially since winter is coming and it's so dry here.

Baby Mantra can be found at Walgreens, Amazon.com, Drugstore.com, and Diapers.com.
