As we head into Veterans Day weekend, it's a good time to raise awareness about USO’s new campaign -
Every Moment Counts. Beginning today, the USO is inviting Americans to visit
www.USOmoments.org
to learn how they can take a moment to say thanks to our troops and give a moment to support them and their families.
There are so many moments we as Americans take for granted,
like the birth of a child, engagements, proms, holidays, babies first
steps and the simple rituals of family dinners and soccer practice. Those moments are routinely missed by those the USO serves: active duty
troops, their families, our wounded, ill and injured troops, their
caregivers, and families of the fallen and it is
more important than ever that we honor the service and sacrifice of our
servicemen and women and their families. My brothers were both deployed, one multiple times, and between training, deployments, and being stationed far away, they both have missed quite a few important family events. I also have quite a few cousins, friends, and other family members who are or have been military.
Every day, around the world, USO is helping to make those connections and moments happen in a variety of ways. Through
Every Moment Counts the USO are telling the stories of America’s
troops and their families. You’ll see how these moments and stories have
changed lives, inspired others and above all remind Americans of the
sacrifices of our nation’s heroes…because
Every Moment Counts.
