Consumer Critique: Mood-Lites

Whether you want to create a tranquil space in your child’s room or romantic setting in your bedroom, Mood-lites from Mood Factory can help. The bulbs are available in flood, porch, incandescent, and CFL options, and are available at Lowe's for $2.98 to $6.99. They're designed to invoke certain moods and are based on scientific research regarding the effects color has on our moods. I got to try out Passion (red) and Renewal (green). Other hues include: Happiness (yellow); Energy (Orange); Serenity (Light Blue); Sassy (Pink); Creativity (Purple) and Tranquility (Deep Blue). 

You can see what celebrities have to say about Mood-lites if you'd like. I thought the red was a bit intense for me (I felt a little bit like I was in a red light district) but if I turned it on with another dim white light, then the balance was perfect. Red and green together creates a quirky seasonal effect. I'm going to have to keep my eye out next time we go shopping, because I think my daughter would love the pink or purple one!
