According to the American Household Credit Card Debt Statistics in January 2014, the average credit card debt per U.S. household is $15,270 and in total, Americans owe $856.9 billion in credit card debt. Although Americans are being more careful about saving since the start of the recession, it is clear that more work can be done to provide financial education.Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Dallas (CCCS) will be hosting 50 live and free webinars during Financial Literacy Month in April to help consumers become smart money managers.

CCCS is also a nonprofit partner in the week-long financial education and awareness event Financial Fitness DFW (#ffdfw) from April 5-12, and will be participating in the April 5 Financial Fitness Fair in Dallas at the Nash Davis Recreation Center from 10am – 2pm.
