Hand sanitizers have become the first line of defense for people,
who are concerned about the spread of germs from human contact. Children are
particularly vulnerable because they are continually getting their hands dirty,
touching their faces and each other.
Now, teachers can help their students fight germs by using coupons
to reduce the price of safeHands® alcohol-free hand sanitizer, in half.
Students can keep safeHands® in their backpacks and gym lockers to reduce their
chances of getting sick.
The coupons are redeemable at local Walgreens, Albertsons and
Safeway and online.
The active ingredient in safeHands® is Benzalkonium Chloride
(BAC). BAC, the same ingredient found in mouthwash and eye drops, has shown in
peer reviewed clinical studies, published in journals like the Association of Operating Room Nurses, to
have the same efficacy against germs as alcohol. Human
Subjects Testing of safeHands® was conducted at the Cal State Fresno University
research department and subsequently passed all required FDA tests for efficacy
and skin health.
Dr. Jay Reubens, Founder and CEO of safeHands®, the inventor of
the first touch-free soap dispenser stated, “safeHands® was created because my
dental staff and I needed a hand sanitizer that would kill 99.99% of germs and
could be used multiple times throughout the day while softening our hands."
safeHands® LLC, formed in July 2011, offers its proprietary
alcohol-free hand sanitizer in different size bottles and scents for adults
under the brand name safeHands® and safeHands Squirts® for children. Products
are sold in both the domestic and international markets. safeHands®, a proud
sponsor of Safe Kids Worldwide® and recently announced its new “safe 1 hand … safe Another” program.
Specifically, the Company matches every product sold with an Alcohol-Free
packet to be donated along with touch free dispensers to children in
impoverished countries.
