Website Spotlight: Mealtime.org

The Canned Food Alliance (CFA) has a newly redesigned website, www.mealtime.org, to better serve health and nutrition industry professionals and government, while also providing a path for consumers. The new website, designed by Response Labs LLC, is the result of a shift in marketing and communications strategies.

 

The website is also optimized for mobile devices and gives visitors a plethora of meal ideas and recipes that use canned foods. A recipe integration platform with www.foodily.com will allow all visitors to search the current CFA recipe database and have access to user-generated recipes that call for canned food ingredients.

 

“We’re excited about the partnership with foodily.com. It allows us to continue to provide nutrition and health professionals and government agencies with applicable solutions to provide their clients; and offer consumers fresh ideas on how to incorporate canned foods into everyday meals,” said Katie Calligaro, CFA communications manager. “After all, food isn’t nutrition until it’s consumed. We want to help bring the benefits of using canned foods to life, so that they make it onto people’s plates during meal time.”

 

Canned foods are an economic and convenient way to prepare nutritious foods year-round, whether they’re used in schools or at home. Additionally, canned foods provide the important nutrients people need, often at a lower total cost-per-nutrient than fresh, frozen or dried form¹.
