In The Power of a Half Hour, Tommy Barnett helps readers take back their lives, thirty minutes at a time. It doesn't sound like it's a lot of time, and it's a pretty ambitious goal, but the book is full of ways to keep our time focused on what God calls us to do.
What I really like about this book is that it's doable. A half hour is something that most of us can figure out how to carve out, and is long enough to really matter. What I didn't like about this book quite as much was that although the description talks about seeing differences in relationships, career, and family, it's not quite as concrete about these areas (or maybe I just didn't read it as carefully to pick up on it). However, when you shift your perspective into a purpose-filled one, the other pieces will naturally fall into place.
