The number one cause of death among children in the United States are preventable accidents, many of which occur in and around the home. To help parents make their homes as safe as possible for children, a mother of triplets designed a first-of-its-kind app to help families customize safety plans for their own homes.
Parents download the free app, enter their child’s age and then take the app room-by-room through their house. Identifying risks based on previous child safety statistics, the app offers safety tips for reducing injury around the home - think bolting your TV to the stand, putting locks on your cabinets, covering the dials on your stove, etc. Parents can even track their safety progress, get updates and reminders, and order safety items online in the app.
