Consumer Critique: Manitoba Hemp Hearts

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

Are you looking for a simple way to get a burst of nutrition? Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts contain 10 grams of protein, and 10 grams of omega 3 and omega 6 per 30 gram serving, making them a great addition to salads, cereal, yogurt, and baked goods. They also have a delicious nutty taste, similar to sesame seeds or pine nuts. With just one ingredient—raw shelled hemp seeds—Hemp Hearts are nutritious and easy to incorporate into your diet. Just sprinkle them on your favorite foods right out of the bag!

Manitoba Harvest also just released their New Hemp Heart Bites, a bite-sized, crunchy hemp snack that the whole family can enjoy. With 10 grams of protein per 45 gram serving (about 8 pieces), Hemp Heart Bites are a great way to enjoy a nutritious snack on-the-go.

These were pretty good. The hemp hearts themselves were kind of like eating soft sesame seeds alone, I much preferred adding them to foods (they were delicious in stir fry). The Bites were sweet (not too sweet) and nutty. It was interesting because I wasn't quite sure I liked them at first, but then before I knew it, I had eaten half the bag! They were much more filling than other snacks too.
