Free Legal Clinics Hosted by CAIR-MN

The Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MN) will hold two Free Brief Advice Legal Clinics in October. The first one will be on October 3rd as part of the Day of Dignity Event at the Masjid Nur in Minneapolis and the second one will be on October 29th at the Scott County Government Center in Shakopee which is co-sponsored by the Scott County Law Library. Both clinics will provide free legal advice on issues such as civil rights, housing, family law, consumer debt, and employment. They will be staffed by volunteer attorneys, CAIR - Minnesota staff and volunteer law students.

WHEN:  Saturday, October 3 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Masjid Nur

               Thursday, October 29th from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. in Shakopee

October 29 - Scott County Government Center Room 112, 200 Fourth Avenue West, Shakopee, MN 55379

 

"Now more than ever, people have legal issues but no access to attorneys. These clinics will enable people to talk to a lawyer for free about their legal problems," said CAIR-MN Civil Rights Attorney Ellen Longfellow. "We thank our F.R. Bigelow Foundation and Minnesota State Bar Foundation partners for helping us to provide access to legal services to the community."
