Caring Causes: Present Now

Many gifts promise to be a “gift that keeps giving,” but a gift from Present Now truly will give joy long past the holidays. Present Now’s "Presence of Being" Box is given year-round to children living in 12 transitional domestic violence shelters across Los Angeles County and surrounding areas.  

The Presence of Being Box, given to children on their birthday, contains either a pre-made birthday cake or ingredients for a homemade, a gift card for the children and their mothers to enjoy a birthday dinner at a restaurant, a special birthday gift of an age-appropriate toy, a book and a new outfit.

For $100, holiday shoppers can purchase a "Presence of Being" Box, or a smaller box with a new outfit and book for $35, to be given to a shelter child, to bring a child smiles into the New Year.
