Caring Causes: Looptworks and Girls Inc

Looptworks worked with Grimm superstar, Claire Coffee, to custom design her ideal diaper bag.  Everything they make at Looptworks is upcycled from high-quality excess materials.  The Calvin Backpack is no exception.  Each bag conserves an estimated 2000 gallons of water through upcycling.
As a new mom and celebrity, Claire has been frustrated with the frumpy looking diaper bags available on the market today.  She wanted a backpack that was lightweight, easy to clean, and looked fashionable on the Grimm set.  After 4 iterations and countless hours, we are very excited about the end result.  The bag is tentatively being named The Calvin, after Claire’s son.

Inspiring Girls To Be Strong, Smart, and Bold
The first version of this bag will be auctioned off in a runway style fundraiser called The Power of the Purse, an annual event hosted by Girls Inc.  Girls Inc. is a non-profit that inspires girls to be strong, smart, and bold.  In past years, some of the auctioned bags have brought in as much $10,000 for Girls Inc. programming.

They are now launching a version of this bag on Kickstarter to turn this once per year fundraising event into a sustained giveback program to benefit Girls Inc. and the young women it supports.  10% of the project will go back to Girls Inc of the Pacific Northwest.

You can learn more about the project by going to www.looptworks.com/calvin.  Or if you would like to discuss things further personally, feel free to reply to this email.  Thanks very much for your time!  Keep up the great work.
