Fun Freetime: 100 Reasons to Rock the Park

Litton Entertainment recently announced ‘100 Reasons to Rock the Park,’ the dynamic campaign featuring Daytime Emmy Award-winning series Rock the Park to celebrate the National Park Service’s 100 years of conservation and historic preservation of America’s national parks.  This  campaign encourages a second century of national park stewardship for communities across the nation. Rock the Park showcases America’s national parks as nature enthusiasts and hosts Jack Steward and Colton Smith venture off the beaten path to explore some of the most awe-inspiring places on earth. Produced in partnership with Tremendous! Entertainment, the series airs as part of Litton’s Weekend Adventure, the three-hour programming block that airs every weekend on ABC stations nationwide.

The campaign, which runs through August 25, 2016, the date of the official National Park Service Centennial, is a robust cross-promotional, multi-platform campaign that will countdown ‘100 Reasons to Rock the Park’ and encourage viewers to share their national park travels and experiences. On-air and social media elements across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram will include beautiful imagery, video, and reasons to embrace the endless opportunities to be inspired, explore, and have fun at the national parks. Jack and Colton are ‘Find Your Park’ ambassadors, an initiative created by the National Park Service and National Park Foundation. Their Find Your Park testimonial video can be found here: Find Your Park with Jack and Colton.

Rock the Park was recently nominated for a 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award.  This is Rock the Park’s second nomination and previously garnered a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Travel Program. U.S. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell also guest starred in an episode of the series to explore Mount Rainier National Park with Jack and Colton.  The episode has an encore airing scheduled for August 20th, 2016.  Rock the Park airs every weekend on ABC stations, check your local listings.
