As a mother of two young daughters, it's very important to me that my girls know about the female heroes of the faith. Bible Belles’ The Adventure of Rooney Cruz is an original children’s series that presents real life heroes like never before. The series highlights five superhero women of the Bible: Hannah, Esther, Abigail, Ruth and Deborah.

I love that some of these women get featured. Esther and Ruth are pretty well known stories, but it's not often that Hannah, Abigail, or Deborah get featured in-depth. The story is true to the Bible, but like any good Biblically-based story, it also provides new ideas or information about the Bible story. My daughters knew the basics of the story, so they were excited to learn more - and they did find out some things they didn't know already!
