Music Minute: Preschool Popstars

I recently had a chance to review "Daycare Dance Party" by the Preschool Popstars. The group is a trio of animated girls - Hailey, Bailey, and Jazz - who sing, rap, and dance. The album has songs in country, hip-hop, and pop styles, with kid-oriented themes and a little bit of sass.

The songs are very repetitive, but for little kids, that's pretty appropriate. They also feature real-life situations little kids understand - wanting juice boxes, burping, training wheels, and things like that. They're upbeat songs, great for moving to the beat. I wasn't a fan of the burping on "I Didn't Mean to Burp" but it would certainly be funny for young kids! My favorite was "Bounce" - high energy and great for getting the wiggles out.

All songs and videos are produced by a Grammy winning team of musicians and studio engineers with ties to Lady Gaga, Akon, and Mary J. Blige.
