Caring Causes: TushiPal Wearable Fitness Device

Tushi Pal by TushiRocks is the first stylish continuous heart rate and fitness monitor that is providing careers to indigenous Mayan communities. The innovative fitness tracker mixes technology, tradition, and design to create a one-of-a-kind product. Currently, Tushi Pal is accepting pre-orders on Kickstarter with a goal of raising $60,000 in 37 days.

Tushi Pal trackers come with a unique band that has a dedicated printed design with a traditional flair. Each Tushi Pal comes with a beautiful case that is handcrafted by a talented Mayan artisan. These cases come made in three techniques, Jipi Japa, Henequen (Sisal) Costurado and Henequen Backstrap Loom.

“My brother and I visited the communities of Santa Rosa and Granada and were able to see, first-hand, the beautiful products that these communities are able to hand make,” said TushiRocks CEO Arturo Arvizu. “Since this visit, we started working with Taller Maya which is a commercial branch of FundaciĆ³n Haciendas del Mundo Maya, a foundation that represents 20 traditional Mayan workshops to design these products. Not only does Tushi Pal have top-notch technology embedded within, but no two cases will be identical, which is something customers can use proudly.”

Next-generation technology is used to make Tushi Pal an accurate, life-changing and long-lasting device. Wearers are able to set the tracker to check their heart rate every 15 to 60 minutes automatically, even at sleep time. Through its “Breathing Light” technology the wearer can track their BPM every minute. Giving them their warm-up, fat burning, aerobic, anaerobic and strenuous exercise time. In addition to the continuous heart rate monitor, Tushi Pal also tracks activity with a pedometer, provides the wearer with information on calories burned and distance traveled.

The sleep tracker provides wearers with information, such as sleep quality, awake time, light sleep time, deep sleep time and heart rate, while asleep. There are call notification capabilities that display caller ID and phone number, and the tracker has the ability to connect to message services such as SMS, WECHAT, Skype, WhatsApp, email and more.

The tracker also has these additional functions: sedentary alarm, remote photo capture, anti-lost support and motion sensor technology. The standby time is up to 15 days based on usage, and charging takes two and a half hours. Currently, Tushi Pal can be pre-ordered for $79 at bit.ly/TushiPalKS.
