Book Nook: Where Will I Live?

There are tragedies that create refugee situations all over the world. It can be hard to figure out how to discuss them with children, and yet, I'm a firm believer in the fact that kids need to be aware of what other children around the world are facing.

A book I recently got to review, Where Will I Live?, helps act as a launching point to discuss what it's like to be a refugee. With photos of kids from all over the world, it gives faces to the news stories for both kids and adults. It helps readers realize what's important in life, and also makes the news stories more personal and accessible for kids of all ages. The photos are tastefully done, and the questions allow kids to see the struggles of refugees, without being overbearing or too heavy for children to understand.
