Music Minute: The Bazillions Rock-and-Roll Yearbook

Kids music can be fun to review - especially when it's high-energy. As a teacher, it's also fun to review things that make learning a positive experience, and this album can help with that.

In this album, Rock-n-Roll Yearbook, The Bazillions create a soundtrack for the school year. There's a lot of fun, with tracks that explore individuality and change - New Pair of Shoes, That's My Style, You Could Be the One. There are also songs that teach lessons, like taking turns, question sowrds, and adjectives. It opens with Back to School and ends with Summer's Here, with lots of fun throughout the album. The sound is somewhat twangy pop rock, but still on pitch and easy to listen to for kids and adults. They have great harmonies and have won Parents' Choice and NAPPA awards.

Led by former teachers and current life partners Adam and Kristin Marshall, The Bazillions have released three previous award-winning albums: Rock-n-Roll Recess, Heads or Tales and On the Bright Side. Animated videos on The Bazillions YouTube channel have generated more than 6 million views. Radio shows around the nation – including SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Radio Disney and 89.3 The Current – have been spinning their tunes since the band launched in 2010.

The Bazillions are developing a downloadable “Rock-n-Roll Yearbook” for fans to track their progress through the coming school year, and they’ll be producing new animated videos.  Stay tuned  through the school year atTheBazillions.com.
