Book Nook: The Impossible - The Miraculous Story of a Mother's Faith and Her Child's Resurrection

I recently had a chance to review THE IMPOSSIBLE The Miraculous Story of a Mother's Faith and Her Child's Resurrection

It's an amazing true story. The author's son, John, fell through the ice. He was clinically dead for an hour at the hospital, then his heart started beating. Just over two weeks later, he was able to leave the hospital fully recovered.

The book doesn't just focus on this one incident, though. It includes other family information and stories that show just how God was putting their family in place for just such a moment, so they could fully appreciate hope and mercy amidst hurt and suffering.

I think it's always amazing to read stories of modern-day miracles. So much today is often explained away just by science - and while I think that science and faith can work together, I think that there are things that even stretch the bounds of what "should" be possible. It's uplifting to read stories when that happens.
