Book Nook: Acts of Kindness

Everyone knows that when you receive an act of kindness, it makes your world better. Most of us want to be able to spread that joy to others, but don't feel like we have the time, ability, energy, or inspiration to do that. I had a chance to review a book by author and motivational speaker Rhonda Sciortino - Acts of Kindness: 101 Ways to Make the World a Better Place, a powerful little book, rich with love.

The book can be read all at once, with ideas stored in our heads for later; read straight through, as sort of a check-off list of good deeds; or just opened randomly with one chosen to focus on. There's no pressure, no deadlines, just ideas ranging from the incredibly simple to those that take a little more time and energy. All require very little money, and not really any specific grand talent - they can be done by anyone who has the will to help.

The promotion of kindness and human decency is the foundation for living a happy and fulfilling life. This inspirational book makes a great gift for anyone seeking to bring this sense of harmony to a family member, friend, or special person in their life.
