By now most people have heard of eBooks - books that are available to read on e-readers instead of actual paper. I had a chance to see the first chapter of Monsoon Tide, the first ever "c-book" or cinematic book. The book weaves written word and film together.
I only saw the first chapter, so I'm not sure how reading a whole book would be, but it seems like it would help readers have a stronger visual of the book, or encourage reluctant readers to get into it by having part of the plot advance in film form. It's a unique way to read, and I wouldn't be surprised if more e-books transition to having this kind of visual element.
