This year seemed like a bummer of a year. When I look back, I think of a lot of terrible things that happened: hurricanes, forest fires, mass shootings, it seemed horrible. But here’s the trick - our brains are wired to remember the bad stuff. The good stuff still happens though - we just need to be reminded once in a while.
That’s why I made Happy Keeper, to help me remember things that make me feel good. Whenever something nice happens (big thing, little thing, it doesn’t matter), you add a quick note in Happy Keeper, and maybe add a picture. Your brain might forget about it, but Happy Keeper won’t. Every few weeks, the app will pop up a quick reminder of the good things you’ve entered, and it’ll hopefully make you smile. At the end of the year, it’ll give you a retrospective, and it’ll hopefully make you smile a lot.
The app is free, supported by some ads, but there is an in-app purchase to remove the ads forever. I’m also planning on making new visualization options for making memories. I hope that Happy Keeper will make it easier to remember the good, and I’m hoping for a lot of happy memories in 2018!
