Consumer Critique: Eggnots

Do you enjoy the idea of decorating Easter eggs but don't because of concerns about eggs breaking or food allergies? Do you have a great artist in your family who hates to see their hard work disappear every year? Do you decide not to decorate eggs each year because you're vegan? Eggnots are cute little ceramic eggs that are dyeable - so there's no food allergies to worry about and no animal products, they won't break, and they can be stored with your Easter decorations to be brought out year after year.

These eggs can be dyed with essentially the same thing you dye any eggs with - food coloring, water, and vinegar - or you can get the egg dye kit online. They do float, like some eggs do, so you need to either put something on top of them or roll them periodically (or do what we do and do half-and-half eggs).

The eggs are pretty convincing. They're just slightly smaller than the eggs we typically get, and come packaging in an egg carton. They're fairly durable - one dropped while we were handling it and was fine (although I wouldn't recommend intentional dropping them). If you want more ideas, they also have a chick and nest kit, and egg hangers in case you want to turn them into Easter or Christmas ornaments.

Visit them on Instagram for beautiful pictures and ideas. You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter.

Buying for a group? Sets of 12 and 18 are currently buy 10 get 2 free, so it's a great time to buy them if you want to give them as Easter gifts.
