Consumer Critique: NurturMe

I recently had a chance to try out some products from NuturMe, a company that makes quinoa baby food. Although my kids are much older than toddlers, we can still enjoy products even if they're designed for younger kids (plus, part of their product line is for kids). The quinoa squares were delicious - my kids ate them just as readily as any of their other crackers. The power blends are convenient in a lunchbox or on-the-go, and the quinoa baby cereal honestly made a decent alternative to oatmeal for me (even if I ate much more than a baby serving at a time). The only thing my kids weren't thrilled with was Yum-A-Roo - and I think they would've eaten them as a toddler, they just didn't know quite what to make of the pea and corn pieces (although they gladly ate the apples) so I ended up tossing the veggies in with something we were cooking for dinner.

You can find NurturMe at a variety of stores, including Target. All NurturMe products are free from gluten, dairy, soy, and egg; they contain no added preservatives, sugars or salts. They're organic and kosher as well. Learn more here.

At SXSW? NurturMe, the Tummy Friendly Brand™ known for its innovative quinoa baby food, is hosting a SXSW NurturMe Family Room and running a social media contest located in Room 7 beginning March 9.

  • NurturMe Family Room: NurturMe is offering parents and families at SXSW a comfortable space to take care of all you and your little one's needs from nursing and pumping, to diaper changes and unwinding.
  • NurturMe’s Social Media Contest: Separate from the Family Room, participate in a social media contest, where you can enter to win one of many large NurturMe product goodie bags! All you need to do is take a photo with our NurturMe signage and post the photo on one of your social media pages using one of our displayed hashtags.
·         Bonus: their room is also the only area in the convention to offer free water and food.
