Consumer Critique: Carpe

I recently had a chance to review antiperspirant from Carpe. This over-the-counter option is unique - it comes in lotion form. This makes it easy to use anywhere on the body, and get the antiperspirant benefits no matter where it's applied.

People sweat. Sometimes kids sweat extra due to activity or the changing hormones of puberty. It can be embarrassing to a kid, or an adult, to be sweaty at the wrong time, so using a lotion can be a way to help reduce sweatiness, not just under the arm.

Carpe was by two college buddies who suffered from embarrassing sweat issues in high school. It's good for teens who are extra sweaty, anyone whose shoes slip or cause blisters due to sweat, those who need a good grip and want to reduce hand sweating (like racket sport players or weight lifters), and those who sweat in a specific area, like chest or behind the knees.

The lotion absorbed well and didn't leave any odd odors. I don't sweat a lot, so it's hard to say how much of a difference it made, but I didn't feel as stinky after workouts as I normally do.

Carpe is sold over-the-counter at CVS locations nationwide for $14.95. It is also available at CarpeLotion.com or Amazon.com.
