I recently had the chance to review a book aimed at helping people make college an affordable dream. What I liked most about the book was how open the author was about his story and why he wants to encourage others to make the college dream a reality.
His book seemed to being written primarily for those people who aren't even sure where to start when it comes to paying for college - perhaps they're the first in their family to go or have significant financial barriers.
Matthew went from a juvenile delinquent with a 2.1 GPA to a magna cum laude college graduate. He shares his story, as well as steps to make college more than just a dream, through tangible actions.
Sometimes I felt like the book could have been more specific, but I did think it was a good research for those beginning to figure out their college game plan, and a book that can definitely make college seem within reach for people who may have thought it was unapproachable.
