Paralyzed Veterans of America is hosting the 2018 Veterans Day National Poster and Poem Contest. Now in its 15th year, this annual event is held by the organization to showcase the artistic talents and patriotic pride of our nation’s youngest students for disabled veterans in their communities.
This year’s contest:
- The theme is “Help Our Veterans Be UnstoppABLE in Your Community.”
- Participants are asked to draw a poster or write a poem showing or telling how they can help make their community more accessible for veterans who use wheelchairs.
- The poster contest is open to students in grades 1-4, and the poem contest is open to students in grades 5-8. The contest is open to students living in the United States who are enrolled in public and private schools, and home-schooled students.
The deadline for submissions is 5:00 PM EST Monday, October 29, 2018.
