For the first time ever, America’s Test Kitchen is bringing our scientific know-how, rigorous testing, and hands-on learning to kids. We’ve been working for more than a year on books, videos, and a website for kids to inspire fun, experimentation, learning, and community in the kitchen.
Our new website is live and filled with hands-on activities, experiments, and recipes for emerging cooks ages 8 to 13. All our activities are kid tested and kid approved. Our recipes range from Sheet Pan Pizza to Baby Spinach Salad with Veggies to Birthday Cupcakes. Fun science experiments plus trivia and quizzes teach kids about the science of melting cheese and how popcorn works.
Don’t forget about our first cookbook The Complete Cookbook for Young Chefs! This is THE cookbook every kid chef needs on their shelf. And to get little ones interested in food, we’re publishing two board books—A is for Artichoke and 123 the Farm and Me.
