Mealtime Magic: 5 Quick Pasta With Whiskey, Wine And Mushrooms Recipe



Who doesn’t love a juicy pasta floating in mushroom sauce? But sometimes the same old recipe could feel monotonous. That is when you introduce some exciting ingredients to your pasta- like Corralejo tequila, whiskey or wine. Here are 5 simple pasta recipes with mushroom, wine, and whiskey you can try.

1.       Recipe 1 : 
       What you need:  
  • 1 cup thickly sliced mushrooms
  • olive oil
  • kosher salt, black pepper 
  • 2 spoons of butter
  • 1 cup of sliced onion 
  • 1 cup of dry white wine 
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth 
  • 3/4 cup whiskey, salt, and Mostaccioli - Al Dente(cooked)

How to make: 
  • Drizzle the mushrooms with some olive oil along with salt and pepper to taste and roast them for about 25 minutes in your oven. 
  • Preheat to 375 degrees before placing the mushrooms and make sure you remove when the mushrooms turn golden brown. 
  • In a pot add some butter and olive oil and saute onion until it becomes translucent. In a cup mix the wine and whiskey and add this to the pot. 
  • Add the chicken broth and leave the stove in simmer for the liquid to reduce. 
  • Add the heavy cream along with mushroom and mix them together. 
  • Add salt and pepper and watch the sauce thicken. 
  • Finally, add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss in the seasonings of your choice before you enjoy a lovely cup of pasta with exotic flavors.

2.       Recipe 2: 
What you need:
  • 2 cups of plum tomatoes
  • olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced baby mushrooms
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • crushed garlic, pepper, salt
  • ½ cup of scotch whiskey
  • 1 cup of red wine 
  • Any cooked pasta of your choice.

How to make: 
  • In a saucepan add a drop of olive oil and chopped onions.
  • Then add the mushrooms and crushed garlic and let it cook for about a minute.
  • Add in the chopped tomatoes and crush them to make a puree. 
  • Add the scotch whiskey and wine and let the mixture cook for a minute after which you add salt and pepper. 
  • Leave the sauce in simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Add the cooked pasta and finish it with seasonings and enjoy a lovely tomato pasta with mushroom, wine, and whiskey.

3.       Recipe 3: 
What you need: 
  • Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup portobello mushroom
  • Garlic
  • 1 cup onion, olive oil
  • 1 cup white wine
  • Parsley
  • 1 cup double cream
  • 1/4 cup parmesan
  • ½ cup Johnnie walker swing
  • cooked pasta
  • pine nuts
  • salt and pepper

How to make: 
  • Prepare a creamy white sauce by starting with sauteing onion and garlic in olive oil. 
  • Add mushrooms and cook until soft.
  • Add salt and pepper to this followed by white wine.
  • Let it cook for a minute and then add Johnnie walker swing and wait for the sauce to reduce to half. 
  • Add the cream and some parmesan and let it cook to a creamy consistency. 
  • Add seasoning and parsley and finally the pine nuts to complete your pasta. 
  • Serve with garlic bread for an ecstatic meal.

4.       Recipe 4:
What you need: 
  • Olive oil
  • 1 cup asparagus
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 cup minced shallots
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • penne rigate
  • 1 cup of shiitake mushrooms
  • 1 ½ cups frozen peas
  • 1 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese 
  • Parsley
  • 1 cup Pinot Noir
  • 1/ 2 cup whiskey.

How to make: 
  • Sprinkle olive oil on the asparagus and add salt and pepper to taste. 
  • Grill this until tender and cut them into 1-inch pieces. In a pan add olive oil and the shallots and cook them for about a minute.
  • Add the mushrooms and wait until it cooks completely. 
  • Add the cream, wine, and whiskey and cook for about 5 minutes. 
  • Prepare pasta separately and add it to the pan along with asparagus and keep tossing. 
  • Finally added grated cheese and peas and season with salt and pepper.

5.       Recipe 5: 
What you need: 
  • Chicken breast 
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 3 clove garlic 
  • Ginger
  • lemon juice
  • 1 cup sliced wild mushrooms
  • red chili flakes
  • cooked penne
  • ½ cup whipped cream
  • ½ cup white wine 
  • ½ cup Jack Daniels
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese
  • salt 
  • pepper 
  • olive oil.

How to make: 
  • Season the chicken with pepper, salt, garlic, ginger, red chili flakes and a teaspoon of lemon juice. 
  • Cook the chicken for about 5 minutes and transfer to a plate. 
  • In a saucepan saute onion and garlic and transfer to the plate with the chicken. 
  • In the pan add mushroom with salt and pepper and wait for it to become soft and then transfer to the plate. 
  • Cook the penne and to it add cream, white wine, Jack Daniels, and stir. 
  • Wait for about 5 minutes for the sauce to cook and then add the contents from the plate to the sauce. 
  • Sprinkle cheese on top and serve after seasoning.
