I recently had the chance to attend the CTC's performance of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. My family loved it. We've come to enjoy anything that has company actors Dean Holt and Reed Sigmund, and we've never been disappointed by any production we've seen there.
This rendition of the classic Dr Seuss story was faithful to the children's book while still being imaginative and fresh. Everyone in our family had a different favorite part - my youngest daughter loved the Grinch's acting, my older daughter loved the colorful Whos (and the fact that she shared a first name with the person who played young Max), my husband enjoyed the technical aspects of the theater (including the use of projection and lighting for effects), and I really appreciated how the music director answers questions from the kids who go down to look at the pit before the show.
If you're going to check it out, get your tickets soon! Some performances are already sold out, or have limited seating available. You can use this link to get 20% off of your tickets (good on any performance but must purchase by December 1st).
