Credit card issuers are changing the game for events like Valentine’s Day which often involves a dining experience, targeting these types of consumers that are looking to collect rewards from restaurants, as well as gift purchases.
“Credit cards that reward consumers that dine out often are trending large in 2019,” said Ashley Dull, credit strategist at CardRates.com. “Chase's Sapphire line has shown success within this movement, motivating other card issuers to up their offerings, shifting their rewards programs to attract the dining-out demographic.”
