Book Nook: Writers of the Future Volume 35

I recently had a chance to review the latest installment of Writers of the Future. If you like short-ish stories, it's a great option. Each book presents some great new authors in the sci-fi/fantasy realm. Since that's my favorite genre, I really enjoy reading it.

There are currently 35 volumes that have been published, and the price for even the newest ones (higher than earlier installments) is a great deal for the book. It's also a fun way to find some new favorite authors. With two dozen authors represented, you're sure to find something you like!

The Writers of the Future is an international writing and illustration contest for new writers and artists—free to enter and judged blind, so all entries are on equal footing: age, race, gender, etc. The winning stories are printed in the annual anthology and are illustrated by the winning artists. Many of the of earlier winners are now pros, publishing new science fiction and fantasy books. If you or any of your kids want to become a writer, you can submit your short story.
